Help Keep Operation Home's Families Safe in Their Homes and Communities
This year GADs Give Back is partnering with Operation Home
Operation Home is a nonprofit helping families in Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties remain safe in their homes and communities. They serve over 1,000 Tricounty families annually through their Critical Home Repair, Wheelchair Ramp and Heat/Cold Relief Programs.
Rarely do we think about our roof caving in, floors buckling, our ability to heat/cool our homes, or not being able to get in out of our bathroom, much less our house. However, for Operation Home's families, this is a daily struggle. With little means to complete these critical repairs and nowhere to go, many are stuck in unsafe environments. In a time of rising living costs and a shortage of affordable housing, Operation Home preserve homes and prevents homelessness, which helps build stronger, more stable communities.
